Can I unlock the LG Viewty (KU990)?

I have the LG Viewty KU990 on the 02 network. I have tried looking on the calculator but cant find that phone listed. Is there another way? If I took it to a local market that charges £5-£10 would they be able to do it? Or does any one else know how to do it for free.

Yes it can be unlocked , but theres no free solution I know of so best take it to your local phone shop/stall

Thanks. So what do they actually do when you take it to a shop/stall? is there a chance if I take it to a market stall something could happen to my phone?

I would take it to a shop rather than a market stall , they will just connect it to the computer and remove the network lock or more than likely just have a clip for it
